Feiyu G5 and GoPro HERO6 Review

Feiyu G5 and GoPro HERO6 Review watch video online

The recently released GoPro HERO6 is packing some pretty awesome features with the most notable one being that it can now shoot 4k at 60fps. The problem is that the GoPro does not have any form of built-in stabilization for that feature and thats why a gimbal can be extremely useful. In this video, I look at how both the Feiyu G5 gimbal and the HERO6 work together. Absolutely agree with you.I am using Hero 5 with G5 great products, but mounting system very poor. No way of turning on GP unless you use phone app. No 'Turn GoPro off' voice command :-(  Crazy. A small cage with flap would have been great idea.
Low light very poor, disappointed as I want to use as 'not a action camera'.
Other major issues. I connect a 5" monitor to micro HDMI and I can't use any GP touch functions. Been in touch with HQ and not got anywhere. Never heard of HDMI NOT mirroring the main screen. I have a camera with HDMI and can loop/daisychain lots of monitors which all show the same view. On GP all I can do is switch on and record, Then if you want to watch back you have to switch monitor off and change setting in Preference sto Monitor! Very messy.
Lastly, what about monitoring audio from the expensive GP audio interface? It would have been good to check the external mic audio level before filming. I have found a way to do this but it involves using a monitor all the time.

What are you using for sound. Looks like you are using a external mic and adding it in during editing. Looking for a solution myself

My only issue with the GoPRro 5 is the audio quality, which sounds way worse to me compared to its predecessors ...

I haven't seen anyone compare the stabilization of the Hero 6 to the gimbal or a test to see if using the EIS in the Hero 6 with a gimbal makes a noticeable difference. Any thoughts on these two ideas?

Thanks for your review! I am looking to get the Hero 6 and this gimbal. I have the G4 GS model for Sony and when changing the pitch angle by raising my hand the head will shift few degrees to the left or to the right. Almost any time.Do you have this issue with your model? I really need your opinion to decide if I should buy this one or not. Thanks a lot!

Looking at the footage it looks pretty shaky still compared to something like the Osmo Mobile. Not sure how it compares to other Gopro gimbals though.
